LAST DOOR is lead by a team of formerly incarcerated persons who know how impossible it is to start over alone. We are committed to ending the cycle of recidivism. The most effective way to stop new crime is self-sufficiency. All things are possible with Christ. As peer support mentors, we pick men up at the jailhouse door with a place to stay, with food to nourish them, and proper clothing. We help them get their IDs, and connect them to church, jobs, and social services. While we continue to coach them, providing support with their attorney, or public defender, and with probation, for a successful reentry.

We partner with them, and those essential to them, showing that fellowship and unity work far better then being isolated. We transform lives through helping men start over, finding jobs, as they build trust in the Family of God around them.

Those incarcerated become “returning citizens” when they are released. Many are on fire to share what the Lord has done for them inside, and they want to carry the Gospel back into their old neighborhoods. Except there are many barriers facing them. Some go to recovery centers for a few months. Some have no place to go because they do not have families that can be immediately committed to help them. The critical time is upon released and the first few weeks. That's when we stand elbow to elbow with them as authentic support.
